Results
from 07-02-2011 Legends National Qualifier
Beaver
Dam Raceway was host to the INEX Legends National Qualifier
Event Saturday night.
Grant Greenfield used a last lap pass
coming out of turn four on Dallas Ross to come home the
winner of the A Main.
The A Main started out with Greenfield jumping out to
the lead from his outside front row starting position. Ethan
Ross asserted himself in the number two spot, while a battle
for third was going on between Dallas Ross and Greg
Hartlaub. Ethan Ross would continue to hold on to second
until lap 8 when pulled off going down the back stretch.
This put D. Ross into second followed by Hartlaub, Brandon
Schmitt and Joey Johnson. With the race running several
green flag laps, Ross began to reel in Greenfield, as this
happened Schmitt pulled out on lap fourteen while running
fourth. Ross would catch and take the lead from Greenfield
on lap 16. He would lead until the last corner when
Greenfield would use the high side and beat Ross back to the
stripe by a bumper for the win.
The
Choice Insurance Legend Cars had two heat races. They were
won by Grant Greenfield and Eric Barth.
This
weeks fast feature lap went to Grant Greenfield with a time
of 19.353

Angell
Park Speedway, Sun Prairie Wisconsin
On a gorgeous Sunday evening the Wisconsin Dirt Legends
joined the Midget's and Badger 600 Micro's for Sunday night
racing action. Joey Johnson of Slinger, grandson of Angell
Park legend Billy Johnson, led for about half of the 20 lap
feature. But former Midget pilot, and Legends Racing
champion, Joel Wyttenbach, from Sauk City, out foxed Johnson
on a restart and never looked back, taking the win.
