Without interruption, the
20-lap INEX Legend Car A-Main ran green flag to checkered
flag with Joel Wyttenbach of Sauk City charging into the
lead as Luke Polzin of Fort Atkinson chased him down.
By lap four, Jeff Steenbergen of Waupun moved into third
with Jim Bucher of Richfield and Brian Peterson of Mukwonago
rounding out the top five. Steenbergen made his move
in lap seven and raced into the challenge spot behind leader
Wyttenbach. A lap later, Peterson moved into third
with past feature winner Eric Barth of Sauk City joining the
top five behind fourth place Polzin. For the next four
laps, Barth made his climb through the top cars to pull into
second behind leader Wyttenbach in lap 12. Catching
and passing Wyttenbach was not an easy feat as the leader
put lapped traffic between his car and Barth for the
remaining laps of the race. Barth climbed though the
traffic and raced directly behind the leader in lap 18.
Wyttenbach charged through the white flag with Barth chasing
him down. In a sweeping last lap pass, Barth charged
through the checkered flag to win his fourth feature win at
Chilton this season. Wyttenbach followed in second
with Peterson, Steenbergen and Robert Lever of Pulaski
rounding out the top five.
