Friday, June 20, 2008 – Chilton, Wisconsin ~ Again missing the thunderstorms, the Calumet County Race Association hosted the Gibbsville Cheese Night at the Races at the Chilton fairgrounds with the visiting division of the INEX Legend Cars making their second appearance with the club this season.

With only an early caution after the first lap, the INEX Legend Cars charged around the Chilton track with Robert Lever of Pulaski taking the lead in the first two laps until Jeff Steenbergen of Waupun took over the top spot in lap three.  Aaron Muhle of Juneau, heat winner Brian Peterson of Mukwonago and heat winner Eric Barth of Sauk City charged into the top five.  A lap later, Barth made his move passed Peterson and tucked his car to the inside to challenge Muhle for third.  While Lever chased down leader Steenbergen in lap 6,  Barth secured third and set his sights on second place.  Brad Weber of Juneau moved into fifth and began pressuring Muhle for fourth.  A lap later, Barth secured second with Weber advancing to fourth.  Weber continued his charge and pulled into third behind Barth in lap eight. As the race approached the half-way point, Weber pulled inside Barth to pressure for the challenge spot with Weber holding the advantage at the scoring line.  Barth was not giving in and Weber readjusted his line to pull to the outside of Barth to again cross inches ahead of Barth at the line in lap 10.  Weber then set his sights on catching leader Steenbergen to pressure for control of the rest of the race.  After completing lap 12, Weber spotted his opening and charged through on the high side of the track to maneuver around lapped traffic to take the lead in lap 13.  Two laps later, Barth threw his car to the high side of the track to take over second from Steenbergen.  Barth then set his sights on leader Weber.  Coming around to complete lap 17, Barth tucked his car inside of Weber but only chased him down the front stretch.  A lap later, Barth again tucked his car inside the leader and this time pulled next to Weber to race side-by-side through the line with Weber holding onto the official lead.  When the white flag flew, Weber and Barth were again racing door-to-door passed the grandstand in a close battle for the win.  A lap later, when the checkered flag flew to end the INEX Legend Car feature, heat winner Barth edged out Weber by potentially centimeters to take home the win.  Steenbergen followed in third with Muhle and Peterson rounding out the top five.
