Without interruption, the visiting INEX Legends raced their 20-lap A-Main green flag to checkered with Dave Fraser of Sheboygan charging into the lead and distancing his car out in front of the field.  Brian Peterson of Mukwonago moved into the challenge spot by lap four and began charging after leader Fraser with Loren Zuhlke of Beaver Dam and Greg Hartlaub of Sheboygan Falls moving in behind him as Eric Barth of Sauk City joined the top five.  A lap later, Barth passed Hartlaub and pulled outside Zuhlke to challenge for third.  After taking third place, Barth tucked his car inside and raced side by side with Peterson down the front stretch in lap six edging out Peterson at the line to take over second.  In the next lap, as Barth and Peterson approached leader Fraser, Peterson swung passed both drivers to take over the top spot in lap seven.  Barth stuck to the back of Peterson with Fraser now battling with Hartlaub for third.  As the field approached the half-way point in the race, Barth took over control of the race with Peterson moving into the challenge spot.  Kevin Brill of Oostburg joined the top five in lap 10 and began maneuvering around lapped traffic to advance in the field.  Five laps later, Brill pulled in behind second place Peterson as both cars had to pass two more lapped cars to catch leader Barth.  When the checkered flag flew, heat winner Barth added another feature win to his collection.  Peterson held off the advancing Brill to finish second.  Brill followed in third with Hartlaub finishing fourth.
