Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legends/Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series

Joel Wyttenbach of Sauk City jumped into the lead at the start of the Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legends/Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series 20-lap A-Main event at The Raceway at Powercom Park on Saturday night. Eric Barth of Sauk City moved up quickly from the third row to challenge Wyttenbach for the top spot. The race was halted on lap eleven when Loren Zuhlke Jr. of Beaver Dam flipped violently on the back straight. Fortunately, Zuhlke walked away from his heavily damaged car. When racing resumed, Wyttenbach and Barth continued their fight for the lead. Wyttenbach raced up high while Barth was finding good bite on the bottom. Barth’s persistence paid off, as he was able to move out in front on lap fourteen. Wytenbach stayed close but had to settle for second behind Barth. Warren Ropp of Kalona, IA drove to third ahead of Joe Johnson of Slinger. Adam Reed of Beaver Dam charged from the seventh row to finish in fifth.

Adam Reed came all the way from the back to take over the lead on lap five of the B-Main. From there, Reed cruised to the win over George Giesen of Neenah and Mark McCallum of Beaver Dam.

Joe Surprise of Beaver Dam claimed the win in a hotly contested first heat that featured a four car battle up front. Bethany Wyttenbach of Plain, Warren Ropp and Greg Hartlaub of Sheboygan Falls closely finished behind Surprise. Joel Wyttenbach edged out Brad Weber of Beaver Dam to win the second heat. Eric Barth was victorious in heat three.
