The Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legends/Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series season opener at The Raceway at Powercom Park in Beaver Dam had 22 cars on hand to do battle on the fast 1/3 mile high-banked clay oval. The rain that has plagued the early season returned to wash out the A-Main event. However, there was some great racing action in the heat race events.

Davenport, IA driver Keith Moline, fresh off his win at Davenport, out dueled Adam Reed of Beaver Dam to take heat one. Greg Hartlaub of Sheboygan Falls finished in third.

Joel Wyttenbach of Sauk City used the high outside groove to work his way to the front and capture the win in heat two. Joey Johnson of Slinger, who led most of the way finished second ahead of Warren Ropp of Kalona, IA.

Kevin Brill of Oostburg was victorious in the third heat taking the win over Brian Peterson of Mukwonago and Tom Henricks of Adell.
